Alysa Chan, a graphic designer based in Hong Kong and graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University. She works with commissioned jobs and self-initiated graphic design projects, such as visual identity design of the BA Graduation Show of Academy of Visual Arts in 2017 and curation of “Bad Grade Show” in 2018. Alysa’s bold and edgy graphic languages are inspired by contemporary graphic design development in the West and kitschy Internet culture. She also questions social norms such as standard of beauty and rules from a young perspective through her graphic design projects, as she believes that graphic designers can express their ideas through their artistic interpretations.
