藍雲博士，香港大學歷史系以及性別研究課程助理教授，主要學術領域包括現代中國和東亞地區的性別議題、視覺和物質文化、建築以及日常生活，現正對華語世界的美容和化妝品歷史進行研究。她曾在學術期刊《China Heritage Quarterly》和《The Journal of Design History》發表文章，而她的編著《At Home in the World: Family, House, and Home in Tianjin, China, 1860-1960》亦快將出版。在加入香港大學歷史系之前，她曾在美國科爾比學院教授歷史和東亞研究，並在伊利諾伊大學參與由韓國研究院資助的韓國家庭比較研究，而她的研究得到了美國學術協會理事會，Andrew W. Dr. Elizabeth LaCouture is a historian of gender, visual and material culture, architecture, and everyday life in modern China and East Asia. She has published articles in China Heritage Quarterly and The Journal of Design History, and her book At Home in the World: Family, House, and Home in Tianjin, China, 1860-1960 is forthcoming. Her current research is on the history of beauty and cosmetics in the Chinese world. Before joining the History Department at HKU, she taught history and East Asian studies at Colby College in the United States and was a research fellow in the Academy of Korean Studies funded Korean Family in Comparative Perspective research group at the University of Illinois. Her research has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and Fulbright-Hays US Department of Education.
